desperately seeking
and one day she realized, one day she knew that long road ahead, the one that seemed so clear was really never so. one day she realized that long road ahead, was rarely traveled on, she found herself alone. alone and cold when the rain would pour, alone. she remained alone. she looked to the far west and east for miles on end, but there she remained, with each bitter step forward, alone and no closer to having the end in sight. did she want to reach the end? or just a safe haven? she wanted shelter, something to stand under, something to protect from the sun, the heat, the cold, the rain. inevitably, that long road would lead her home, but on the lonely path, she realized, that one day, all she had to turn to was faith. no one would be there to walk with her, no one would be there to shelter her or protect her. that faith had to grow from the seed it was, to something strong enough to keep her....strong enough to keep her. keep her safe from the lonely, long and lonely road. pressing forward, always forward, never looking back, never reaching out and never looking back, she continued on that long and lonely road. one day, through all the rain, she'd meet the end of that long road home...and then she'd look back on that journey faith carried her through. faith and two feet alone.
